Emma comes from an upper-middle class family from outside Brussels, Belgium. Her father is a Dutch farmer, and her mother is a French cook. The parents fight a lot, so Emma would usually outside in the garden or at her half-brother's house.

Though they fight a lot, Emma's parents tried their best to raise her in an open minded, easy-going home. Also, things like certain drugs and alcohol were acceptable for Emma to do in moderation. It wasn't uncommon for the family to have a joint together when Emma was older.

Emma isn't very romantic, and has had a few one night stands in the past. She's had one boyfriend, but she felt like she was being controlled by him, so (for now) she prefers to be single.

Emma is a good student, if not a little distracted sometimes (especially on nice days). She does well in languages, and is fluent in English, French, Dutch, and even knows a little German, Danish, and Spanish.
